NetLessor - Custom Reclass Journal Type
Overview
A Custom Reclass Journal may be desired for specific client circumstances. This article will walk through the steps to create this custom journal entry so it will appear as an option in NetLessor > Process Monthly Transactions > Monthly Reclass Journals.
Prior to the creation of the custom reclass record, all applicable reclass information should be entered in the NetLessor software. This includes the applicable mapping as described in the Lease Type configuration article.
STEP BY STEP PROCESS
- In the NetSuite Search pane search for "NetLessor Reclass Journal Type" and select the first option
- Select the New NetLessor Reclass Journal Type to create the custom journal type
- Enter the applicable information on the Reclass Journal Type screen

| Name | Input a unique name to define the custom reclass |
| Post as Reversal Journal | Check this box to post as a reversal journal |
| Debit Account | Select the lease type field that contains the account to debit for the reclass amount |
| Credit Account | Select the lease type field that contains the account to credit for the reclass amount |
| Difference Account | The lease type field populated with the account to book the difference between the debit and the credit amounts to |
| Debit Amount (Static) | The schedule line field populated with the reclass amount to debit. |
| Credit Amount (Static) | The schedule line field populated with the reclass amount to credit. |
| Reclass Debit Amount Search (Dynamic) | Use a saved search to determine the amount to debit. The script will take the amount found in the first search column, filtered for the specific lease. |
| Reclass Credit Amount Search (Dynamic) | Use a saved search to determine the amount to credit. The script will take the amount found in the first search column, filtered for the specific lease. |
| Amount Search Period Filter | Optionally filter the amounts in the debit and credit amount search to only activity in periods before or after the reclass line. |
| Reclass Amount | Select the schedule line field populated with the reclass amount |
| Tag To | Select the schedule line field to populate with the newly created reclass journal |
| Tag To - Multi-Book | Select the schedule line field to populate with the newly created multi-book reclass journal |
- Click Save once all applicable information has been added
