Lease Expense Waterfall Report (Operating)

Overview

The lease expense waterfall report provides the future lease expense amounts for operating leases by lease type in the selected period.

Please Note:  The NetLeaseGo Free version does not have access to this report.

Process Steps

Step 1:

  • Navigate to NetLease > Reports (All or Subledger) > Lease Expense Waterfall Report (Operating) 

Step 2:

  • Select the Lease Expense Waterfall Report (Operating) Run button

Step 3:

  • Select Show Filters to narrow down by adjusting the filters for subsidiary, currency, department, class, location, accounting period, or date.

Step 4:

  • The report search can be narrowed down by adjusting the filters for subsidiary, currency, department, class, location, accounting period, date and other selections


Step 5:

  • Once desired filters are set, click Preview button to view the reconciliation

Select a date range of 1 year to see projected lease expense for the year



Step 6:

  • Upon running the schedule the user will see a summarized detail of operating leases and associated future single lease expense amounts by lease type for the selected period. 
  • The schedule can drill-down to individual leases and the underlying future expense detail. Users use this as a forward-looking report. Select the Export button to download report into Excel.

Troubleshooting

Is the report missing leases?

1. If desired leases do not appear in the report, check the selected filters to ensure leases are not being restricted from view.

2. Verify leases status has been updated from pending to commenced or further.
