Custom Create Asset Search (CIP/Proposal)
This article will show you how to customize the transactions pulled into your Create From Clearing and Create From CIP pages that can be capitalized into assets. We can do this by updating the underlying saved search that is selected in the system setup.
Step-By-Step Process
- Navigate to NetAsset > NetAsset Setup > System Setup and copy the saved search name listed in the Create Asset Search field.
- Now, paste the copied search into the global search bar at the top of the screen and open the saved search.
- You’ll want to then select “Edit This Search”
- This will pull up the criteria tab where you will be able to select the criteria that are used to pull in various records. You can edit the criteria that already exist, add additional criteria to narrow down the search, or include transactions that were previously not included.
- On the results tab, you can adjust the information that will be displayed in the columns of the search. This is where you can add in additional columns that would display information important to creating an asset that is not already displayed in the standard selections.
| Note: filters under the Available Filters tab of the search record will not pull into Create From Clearing and Create from Clearing pages. If you would like to add additional filters to either of these pages, follow the instructions in the Manage Custom Filters article. |
- Once you are finished editing the search, change the name of the search slightly and click Save As.
- Go back to NetAsset > NetAsset Setup >System Setup and change the Create Asset Search field to the name of the search you previously created. This will update the search used by the Create From Clearing and Create from Clearing pages.
- Click Save to save the new search settings.
