NetClose - Implementation Steps

Let's get you going with NetClose!

This page will be an overview of the steps you'll need to perform to get set up with each piece of the NetClose product. Use the table of contents on the right side of the screen to quickly get to the section you need!

Overall Setup

  1. Install SuiteApp. This will usually be done by your implementation consultant. If you would like to do it yourself, instructions are below.
    1. Your NetGain implementation consultant will first need to give you access to the SuiteApp.
    2. Next, you'll navigate to the SuiteApp store from your navigation bar in Netsuite.
    3. Search "NetClose" or "NetGain" and you'll see the "NetClose - Accounting Close Toolkit". Select it.
    4. There should be a blue "Install" button in the upper right corner of the screen. If it says "Limited Access", reach out to your implementation consultant.
    5. You can follow the installation status from Customization > SuiteCloud Development > Installed SuiteApp List. Once the install status is "Complete", you're done!
  2. Manage NetClose Access

  3. Configure System Settings
    1. System settings can be found in NetClose > Setup > System Setup. See the System Settings article for more information.

NetClose Task & Close Management

  1. Set up calendar and non-working days
    1. See the Work Calendar article for instructions.
  2. Update task classification list as needed
  3. Set up Accounting Procedures and Steps
  4. Set up Close task templates
  5. Add Non-Close tasks as desired

NetClose Reconciliations

  1. Create Account Groupings
    1. See the Account Groupings article for instructions.
  2. Create child account groupings as needed
  3. Link all GL accounts to Account Groupings

NetClose Accruals

  1. Create Accrual Types with default GL accounts
  2. Upload current accruals as desired

NetClose Amortizations

  1. Create Amortization Types with default GL accounts
  2. Upload current amortizations as desired
