Cross-Validation Rules Transfer from Sandbox to Production
Overview
Once user acceptance testing in sandbox is complete, Cross-Validation Rules can be exported and transferred to production for Go Live. This process is outlined below.
Step-by-Step Process
Configure permissions and settings
Prior to transferring your Cross-Validation Rules, all permissions and system settings should be configured in production as they were configured in sandbox. See Cross-Validation Rules Permissions and Settings.
- Navigate to Netgain > Setup > System Setup > Cross-Validation Rules > Import Tools.
- Export each of the three files via the Search Links.
Verify field names and IDs
Please note that if field names or Internal IDs differ between sandbox and production, these should be updated in the files before upload to production to avoid import errors.
3. In production, navigate to the Import Assistant by accessing Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records.
4. For Import Type, choose Custom Records and for Record Type, choose Netgain Tools Cross-Validation Rule.
5. Under the CSV files section, click Select and upload your saved CSV file.
6. On Import Options, make sure Add is selected and Run Server SuiteScript and Trigger Workflows is checked.
7. Follow the prompts to finish the import.
8. Repeat the above steps for Netgain Tools Rule Filter and Netgain Tools Rule Requirement.
9. Lastly, please validate your rules via Netgain > Cross-Validation Rules > Rules.
