Supersync Files – Pre-Kickoff Requirements
Overview
To ensure a smooth and efficient implementation, please complete the following requirements before your Supersync Files kickoff call.
Having these items ready allows us to begin configuration immediately and avoid delays, particularly those related to access or IT dependencies.
Required Information
Please provide the following details prior to your kickoff:
NetSuite Account ID
- Description: Your NetSuite account ID (e.g.,
1234567_SB1) - Why is this required:
- Enables licensing setup
- Allows us to provision the Supersync Files bundle in your environment
- How to find your NetSuite Account ID
Azure Tenant ID
- Description: Your Microsoft Azure (Entra ID) tenant ID
- Why is this required:
- Required to establish secure authentication between NetSuite and Microsoft

- How to find your Microsoft Entra ID
SharePoint Site URL
- Description:The SharePoint site where your documents will be stored
- Example:
https://yourcompany.sharepoint.com/sites/Finance
- Example:
- Why this is required:
- Defines where Supersync Files will sync and manage documents
- Notes:
- The site must already exist
- Access will be validated during setup
Recommended Preparation
While not required, completing the following in advance will help accelerate your kickoff session:
Install the Supersync Files NetSuite Bundle (Once Bundle Access is provided)
- Benefit: Speeds up configuration during the kickoff call
- Timing: Prior to the meeting, if possible
- Instructions: https://support.netgain.tech/article/939976/supersync-files-bundle-installation
Create a Dedicated Service User in Microsoft
What this is: A dedicated Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) user account used by Supersync Files to access SharePoint
Why this is recommended:
- Acts as the secure access point for file synchronization
- Ensures proper tracking of file activity (e.g., “created by” / “modified by”)
- Helps avoid delays during authentication setup
What to do:
- Create a service account in Microsoft Entra ID
- Plan to grant it access to the SharePoint site
Helpful guide:
Additional notes:
- A limited Microsoft license may be required
- We recommend naming this user something like “Supersync Files” or “NetSuite File Sync” for clarity
Prepare a High-Level File Structure
What this means: Have a general idea of how you want your documents organized in SharePoint
- Example: by Customer, Vendor, Transaction type, or Department
Why this helps:
- Enables faster configuration during kickoff
- Reduces rework after initial setup
Important:
- This does not need to be finalized
- If you’re unsure, our team will work with you during kickoff to design an appropriate structure based on your business needs
Access Requirements
To successfully complete implementation, please ensure the following access is available during the kickoff call:
- NetSuite Administrator access
- Azure Portal access (or an IT resource available during the call)
- SharePoint Site Owner or Admin access
Common Causes of Delays
To keep your project on track, please review the most common issues:
- Missing NetSuite Account ID (prevents licensing and setup)
- Limited access to Azure or SharePoint
- Incorrect or incomplete SharePoint site details
- Bundle not installed prior to the call
What to Expect at Kickoff
Once all prerequisites are complete, your kickoff session will focus on:
- Connecting NetSuite and Microsoft
- Configuring Supersync Files
- Validating file synchronization
This allows us to move quickly into testing and deployment.
