NetAsset - Customize Asset Register View

Overview

The Asset Register view can be customized to include additional (or custom) fields, adjust the order of columns, and/or apply specific filters. This allows users to tailor the register to display only the most relevant information for their processes.

Step-by-Step Process

  • Navigate to NetAsset > View Asset Registers > Asset Register.

  • Click Customize View:

  • Enter a descriptive Search Title for the custom view:

  • Under the Results subtab:

    • Use the dropdown at the bottom to select the additional field, then click Add.

    • If a different display name is needed for the field, update the Custom Label column:

    • Drag (or use the "Move" buttons) to reorder the fields as needed:

  • After making all adjustments, click Save to store the view.

  • When saved, the updated fields and column order will appear in the asset register view. Note that the custom view can be selected at any time from the View dropdown list in the Asset Register header:

Additional Considerations

Criteria

The Criteria subtab is used to define rules that determine which assets appear in the view. For example, you can configure criteria to display only assets of a specific type, location, or status. This ensures the view consistently focuses on a defined subset of assets without requiring manual filtering:

Available Filters

The Available Filters subtab is used to add optional filters that appear at the top of the Asset Register view. Unlike criteria, which are fixed, these filters can be adjusted at runtime. For example, filters such as Asset Type or Location allow results to be narrowed without modifying the saved view:
