NetLease - Sublease Amortization Schedule

Viewing the Sublease Amortization Schedule

Use Case: A sublease has been created and the amortization schedule is currently not showing under the subtab Amortization Schedule > Sublease Operating Schedule

Setting up the Amortization Schedule

  • Navigate to your Record Types. Customizations > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types.
  • Find and select the record named NetLease Lease. If you do not see this record on the first record page, there should be arrows on the top right allowing you to browse additional record pages.
  • After selecting the NetLease Lease record, navigate to the subtab Forms. On this subtab, there is a list of all your forms.
  • Next to the name column, there is a column labeled Preferred. This tells you which of these forms is currently your preferred form.

  • At this point, please take note if your preferred form used is one of our default forms or a custom form.
    1. If your preferred form was ‘Netgain Default Lease Form’ then you are using a default form.
    2. If your preferred form was ‘Netgain Default Lease Form – XXX’ with any sort of information after the hyphen, then you are using a custom form. As you can see in the screenshot above, our preferred form is a custom form, as there was a hyphen and additional information added to the default name.
  • Next select edit on the preferred role in use. You will be navigated to a new page called Custom Entry Form which also has a group of sub-tabs halfway down the page.
  • Please select the sub-tab Sublist > Amortization Schedule.
  • Here, make sure that Sublease Operating Schedule is marked as showing. By checking this checkmark, you will now allow for the sublease amortization schedule to show on the sublease itself.

If you used a custom preferred form:

  • Go ahead and save your changes and you should be good to go.
  • You should now be seeing the sublease amortization schedule on the lease page.

If you used a default preferred form:

  • On the very top of the page, there is a cell called Name. Because we made changes to a default NetLease form, we need to save this as a new custom form, rather than just saving the form. If you do not create a new form, your changes will be lost the next time your bundle is updated.
  • Update the form name to indicate that this is a custom form. For example, you can add the following to the name: ‘ – Custom.’ Then click Save As.
  • The last thing would be to make sure that this new custom form is selected as your preferred form. You can do that by following the steps above to get to the form subtab and marking it as preferred. Once that is done you should now be able to view the amortization schedule for your subleases.
  • Going forward, please note that you are now using a custom form. So, the next time you would like to make changes to your form, you do not need to save as a new form, as you are already working within a custom form.
