NetLease - Release Notes Delivery
Overview
NetLease development operates on a rolling three week sprint cycle, which means updates are available as often as every three weeks. Main updates are done twice a year for all clients. This article goes through the different ways to access release notes for those rolling three week updates, which roll into the twice yearly large bundle updates that are pushed to accounts.
Bundle Update Frequency
See the NetLease Managed Bundle FAQs for details on how to set update frequency for your account. As a reminder: Sandbox accounts have to be updated by you and Production accounts are managed and therefore updated by Netgain. You can always reach out to your AMO or support@netgain.tech to request a bundle update.
Email Delivery of Release Notes
Netgain no longer sends emails with the release notes. Instead we send a quarterly update email going through the features added in the recent quarter and what we are working on for the next quarter. By default users of NetLease are opted out of these emails to avoid over communication.
Reach out to your AMO representative at Netgain to request your email addition to that mailing list.
In-App Delivery of Release Notes
When the large bundle updates are done twice a year, Netgain pushes an in-app message to notify you of the update with a link for the release notes. Receiving in-app messaging is only supported when you have the specific NetSuite setting turned on for Online Forms.
To allow Netgain In-App Messaging, navigate to Setup > Company > Enable Features > CRM subtab > Marketing section > Online Forms.
View Release Notes Directly
Major Release Notes for the twice yearly updates are saved here in the Knowledge Base and can be accessed via the NetLease section of the Knowledge Base > Roadmap & Release Notes folder.
Rolling Release Notes for the three week sprints can be viewed directly in NetLease in NetSuite. Navigate to NetLease > NetLease Help > Release Notes.
- You will be brought to the NetLease Release Notes page where you can search for specific key words within the release notes, jump to a specific release, see your current version installed in your account, and pull future release notes as they are available.
