NetAsset - Asset Deletion

Use Case: Circumstances may require the deletion of an asset due to errors when creating the asset.

STEP BY STEP PROCESS

• Navigate to the NetAsset record to be deleted. An example asset record to be deleted is shown here:

• There are 3 prerequisites to being able to delete an asset record:
  1. Any entries booked are from accounting periods that are still open (navigate to Setup > Accounting > Manage Accounting Periods to check on this)
  2. The Locked checkbox on the Accounting subtab is unchecked
  3. The Status of the asset is Pending (asset must be unlocked before this can be changed)
• Once these steps have been taken, edit the asset and select Delete from the Actions dropdown

• Your asset record has now been deleted along with all associated scheduled entries and booked transactions
