Intro to Shared Transactions

Overview

Shared Transactions is Netgain's NetSuite-native SuiteApp for intercompany and intra-company accounting. It automates the allocation, billing, and payment work that spans subsidiaries - splitting a shared cost across the entities that incurred it, generating the matching intercompany bills, and paying bills or accepting payments on another subsidiary's behalf - all on the transaction inside NetSuite, with no separate system to reconcile back to.

Shared Transactions comes in two tiers:

  • Standard - Segment Allocations. Split transaction lines across subsidiaries, departments, classes, locations, or custom segments using weighted allocation templates, and post the resulting allocation journals.
  • Premium - adds Intercompany Billing and Shared Payments. Auto-generate matching vendor bills from intercompany invoices and pay bills or accept customer payments on behalf of another subsidiary with the intercompany journals created for you.
