NetLease - Journal Entry Report: Go-Live
Purpose
The Journal Entry Report: Go-Live provides a detailed listing of all the "Go-Live" entries that could be posted to the G/L from NetLease via the Go-Live journal process.
This report is informational only and does not show posted Go-Live journal entries. It shows calculated balances for what the Go-Live journals would look like based off the date used in the filter and pulls the data from the amortization schedule lines on the lease record.
To see actual posted go-live transactions, create a saved search and filter for the "NetLease Go-Live" transaction type.
Navigation
NetLease > Reports (All or G/L & Recon Reports) > Journal Entry Report: Go-Live > Run
Filtering
The report search can be narrowed down by adjusting the filters for subsidiary, currency, department, class, location, lease, accounting period, or date. Once desired filters are set, click the Preview button to view the updated report.
Results
Upon running the schedule the user will see a summarized detail of all leases with "Go-Live" entries by lease type for each subsidiary. The schedule can drill-down to individual leases and transaction lines. Select the Export button to download the report into Excel.
Use Case Scenario
Clients who have been using ASC 840 before implementing ASC 842 in NetLease will have a "Deferred Rent" balance on their books. The "Go-Live Clearing" account balance that is booked on these entries is what will be used to take off the existing "Deferred Rent" balance. See our Lease Journal Entries Overview for an example.
