NetCash Automatic Bank Connection - European Union - GoCardless
Overview
For clients with bank accounts in the European Union, Netgain partners with GoCardless to enable secure, seamless integration with NetSuite. The guide below walks through the process of connecting EU bank accounts to NetCash.
GoCardless is used exclusively for connecting bank accounts in the European Union. For instructions on connecting banks in other regions, please refer to the following articles:
Note: GoCardless does not support connections to UK bank accounts.

Step-by-Step Process
- To connect a new bank in NetCash, go to NetCash > Setup > Bank Connect.
- Hover over New Bank Connection, then select GoCardless from the menu:
- Use the search function to locate the appropriate financial institution, then select it from the results. This will redirect to GoCardless to complete the institution’s connection flow:
- Review and accept the GoCardless terms and conditions. After acceptance, GoCardless will redirect to the bank’s login page to continue the connection process.
- Enter the bank credentials and sign in. GoCardless will then connect to the bank and retrieve the list of accounts available for connection to NetCash.
- Authorize the connection between the bank and GoCardless to enable transaction processing in NetCash. Upon authorization, you will be redirected back to NetCash.
- If the connection is successful, the institution will appear in the list on the Bank Connect page:
- NetCash will automatically create NetCash Bank Accounts based on the data retrieved by GoCardless. To view these accounts, navigate to NetCash > Setup > Bank Accounts.
- Once there, open each account to complete the setup process. Setup must be completed for each bank account before the account and its transactions are visible on other NetCash pages. Transaction Synchronization
- NetCash automatically syncs transactions from banks connected via GoCardless once daily. Manual synchronization can also be initiated by navigating to NetCash > Help > NetCash Bank Help.
- If using multiple providers, make sure to select GoCardless:
- Click Sync GoCardless Transactions to immediately retrieve new transactions from GoCardless:
Note that transactions will only appear on NetCash pages once the NetCash Bank Account setup is complete.
- Once initiated, the Script Status field will display the current status of the sync.
