NetLease - Custom Scripted Report

Use Case: Circumstances arise when a user wants to customize fields/columns on a NetLease scripted report. Users have the following options:

  1.  View the report you would like to customize. Take note of the saved search listed under the Saved Search field in the primary information.

  2. Open the saved search listed on the report by either:
    1. Entering the listed saved search name into the Global Search Bar at the top of your NetSuite window and clicking Edit.
    2. Or, navigate to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches and look for the previously noted save search from the list. Once you have found the saved search, select Edit.
  3. (Optional) Navigate to the Results subtab and scroll down to the fields corresponding to the columns you would like to change and swap them to the appropriate field. You can also add new columns by adding a new field to the list and clicking Add

Example: If you would like to add a column showing the subsidiary tied to the lease, add it as a new field.
  4. (Optional) You can add a filter that can be manipulated each time you run the report to isolate desired information. Navigate to the Available Filters subtab. Add a new filter by selecting the field from the drop-down-list and clicking Add

  5.  (Optional) You can also edit the filters on the Criteria tab to exclude certain leases from your report. Navigate to the Criteria subtab. Add the field or status in the Filter column, and the rule to the Description column.

Example: The below criteria will exclude any leases that are inactive, short-term/low-value, or are set up under ASC 840 from the report results.

  6. Once finished editing, change the name of the search to something unique, and click Save As. Copy the search title to paste into the report later on.

  7. Go back to Edit the report you were wanting to change and select Save& Copyto create a new report.

  8. Rename the report to something unique, paste in the newly created search title in the Saved Search section, and Save the report.
  9. (Optional) Some reports will allow you to group the report by navigating to the Advanced Configuration tab. From the drop down for GROUP BY 1, select the field you want to group by. Note you will need to do this before you Save the newly created report.
