Migrating to NetLease from NetLeaseGo
Important Note: Before proceeding, please ensure that the NetLeaseGo bundle is updated to the most current version. Migrating when the bundle is outdated can lead to incorrect data being transitioned to the new NetLease Lease system. For instructions on how to update your bundle, refer to the following knowledge base article - NetLeaseGo Bundle Installation and Bundle Update (see "When a secondary Bundle Update Page appears, select Update Bundle"). |
Overview
The independent bundle for NetLeaseGo is being deprecated in order to keep it more up to date with new features being added every week to NetLease. Follow the steps below to migrate off the old bundle and onto the new one.
Process Steps
Step 1:
- Install NetLease
Step 2:
- Data Migration
- Once the bundle update is finished, navigate to Customization > Scripting > Scripts and view the "NetLeaseGo - Cutover SL" script record
- Once on the NetLeaseGo - Cutover SL, navigate to the Deployments subtab and click the link for the "NetLeaseGo - Cutover SL LINK" script deployment
- Next, click the link in the URL field
- You will be re-directed to a page where you can select leases to migrate over. This process will copy the selected leases and their lease payment records over to NetLease.
- Apply filters until you have the subset of leases that you would like to migrate, then click the "Mark All" button and then click the "Cutover Leases button"
- Once the migration job is complete, review the new lease records and navigate to NetLease > Mass Update Leases > Mass Lease Schedule Generation to generate schedules for the leases
- Note that any modifications, or terminations performed will need to be re-performed manually
Step 3:
- Customization Migration
- Any additional configuration (custom fields, saved searches, etc.) will need to be cutover manually
Step 4:
- Add New Role to Required Users
- Navigate to Lists > Employees > Employees, edit the employee record for the user that needs access to NetLease
- First, remove the old "NetLeaseGo Admin" role
- Next, add one of the following roles
- NetLeaseGo Administrator
- If you plan to continue with the non-g/l impacting version
- NetLease Administrator
- If you plan to post to the G/L
- NetLeaseGo Administrator
- Navigate to Lists > Employees > Employees, edit the employee record for the user that needs access to NetLease
Step 5:
- After you're comfortable that all the data has been transferred over, feel free to un-install the NetLeaseGo bundle
- Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles > List
