NetClose - Flux Analysis Dimensions
Overview
Flux Analysis Dimensions lets you review account variances across multiple business dimensions—like Entity, Transaction Type, Subsidiary, Department, Class, Location, and custom segments—without creating separate flux scenarios for each view.
This gives controllers and accounting teams the ability to quickly pivot their variance analysis to see what’s driving a fluctuation.
If revenue is up 15%, you can instantly break that variance down by customer, separate invoices from credit memos, or filter by custom segments that match your organizational structure.

Step-by-Step Process (Written)
1. Once the Flux Analysis has been generated, open an account that you would like to see in a different dimension.
2. Scroll to the bottom and select the subtab "Dimensions"
3. Select the dimension by which you would like to view the account balances.
Custom Segments are supported as a dimension option.
4. The system will then organize your transaction balances based on the dimension selected. You will see the title of the specific dimension, the comparison, the current period, and the change amount and change percentage.
5. To drill in further, you can select one of the balances, and it will take you to a pre-filtered transaction detail showing all the transactions that make up that balance.
6. Here is the transaction detail that is pre-filtered to match your Flux Scenario and Dimension selection.
7. You can drill into the individual transactions.
