NetLease Implementation Guidelines & Responsibilities

Overview

This article provides guidelines for the implementation and sets expectations for what can be expected from each party involved.

Guidelines

Your implementation team acts as a guide assisting your team in your NetLease implementation. The implementation team is composed of smart, accomplished professionals who should be treated in a professional and respectful manner. They are dedicated to helping make this experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible providing the resources your team needs to make this project a success. We hope you find that our team has become a trusted advisor and deep source of knowledge.

Below are Netgain's guiding principles that should be followed by both teams during the project:

  • Set clear expectations
  • Foster respectful interactions
  • Communicate timely and clearly
  • Focus on solutions not problems

Implementation Team Responsibilities

As part of your implementation, you will be assigned a Netgain implementation team comprised of our product experts. We pride ourselves on the quality of CPAs, accounting experts, and big 4 alumni on the team. The mission of these individuals will be to discover your lease accounting needs in addition to acting as a dedicated guide assisting you in successfully navigating and completing your NetLease implementation.

Their responsibilities extend only to helping provide advice, context, and training and at large are not responsible for completing the individual tasks outlined in the project. Your implementation team will be responsible for providing clear, timely communication, setting expectations for the implementation, pointing out potential roadblocks, providing guidance on the next steps that need to be taken to move toward go-live, and providing resources/training that your team can access to gain insight into your new processes using NetLease.

Client Responsibilities

Your responsibility entails communicating your expectations and needs, providing accurate data, completing thorough data validation and user acceptance testing, providing availability for calls, dedicating sufficient resources to complete tasks by the communicated due dates, and raising concerns you may have in a timely and respectful manner. The success and timeliness of the project depend in large part on your ability to meet the former responsibilities.

Your implementation team has no ownership over the data your team provides or over assuring that this data is complete or accurate. Though your implementation team will be a great resource and are NetLease experts, they are not responsible for the timely or successful completion of the implementation. This responsibility primarily rests on your team despite the Netgain team's vested interest in the project.
