Shared Transaction Error Message Explanations

The location, ___________, is either inactive or has not been made available for the selected subsidiary. | This error is due to the location selected in the allocation not being available in the subsidiary selected in the allocation (could be the original subsidiary if the subsidiary is not changing). Please check to ensure the correct location and subsidiary have been selected. If this is the correct combination, please contact your NetSuite administrator to review the location setup. |
| The department, ___________, is either inactive or has not been made available for the selected subsidiary. | This error is due to the department selected in the allocation not being available in the subsidiary selected in the allocation (could be the original subsidiary if the subsidiary is not changing). The intercompany allocation is set-up to use elimination accounts. An elimination vendor could not be found associated with one or more intercompany relationships. Please add or link a Vendor to [Allocation Destination Subsidiary] that represents [Source Transaction Subsidiary]. | Depending on the account used for intercompany journals, a vendor-customer relationship needs to be setup between the two subsidiaries. The Shared Transaction script that generates the journal, looks up the correct vendor and customer for this journal to be properly recorded. In this case there was no Vendor set up that represents the transferor that is linked to the transferee. |
