NetClose - Role-Based Subsidiary Restrictions

Overview

NetClose now enforces NetSuite's role-based subsidiary restrictions across Tasks, Reconciliations, and Flux Analysis modules. If a user's current NetSuite role does not have access to a specific subsidiary, NetClose will automatically restrict visibility to any tasks, reconciliations, or flux analysis scenarios associated with that subsidiary. This ensures that NetClose's access controls remain fully aligned with your existing NetSuite security configuration.

  1. Navigate to NetClose > Settings > System Setup. Under the "General" subtab, check the box "Enable Role Based Subsidiary Restriction" then click "Save."

2. The above checkbox will limit what information a user can see by the Subsidiary Restrictions they have enabled on their Role Record. For this A/P Clerk role, it is set to the "User Subsidiary" which is the subsidiary set on the User/Employee record.

3. Once step 1 is configured, users will only see tasks, reconciliations, and flux analyses for the subsidiaries they have access to. As shown below, under the Administrator role, the user can view all reconciliations for all subsidiaries.

However, under the A/P Clerk role, they can see only one subsidiary because that is the only subsidiary included on the user/employee record.
