Product and NetSuite monthly tips and tricks
Each month, we bring you a new product or NetSuite tip to help you improve your accounting processes and workflows.
Tip of the month - September
Store files right in Netgain records |
Did you know Netgain records support native NetSuite Document management features? Every Netgain record has a Document subtab where you can upload files for direct access. They get stored in NetSuite so they are searchable and safe. Additionally, you can setup NetSuite's Drag and Drop feature to make it a one click process to attach documents to our records! Follow this guide by our partners RSM to easily setup Drag and Drop throughout your NetSuite instance:

New feature in NetAsset alert! |
You can now REJECT journal entries in NetAsset. On the Approve Asset Journals page, there is a new "Action" field where you can choose if you want to approve or reject journal entries in mass. Make sure to keep your product up to date so you get access to new features like this as we release them. And let us know which product you want to see this feature added to next.

Find it faster in NetSuite |
Do you remember to use the "%" when searching for something in NetSuite? Using a "%" before any text will act as a wildcard and let you look for the words anywhere in a name. It works in the search bar and any list dropdowns. Also if you are doom scrolling on lists, change this field in your preferences to be shorter so you can type instead of scroll to select from a list! |

Select without the slip-up |
Ever accidentally clicked into the wrong transaction when trying to select a row? You’re not alone — drill-ability is great... until it derails your workflow. Here’s the fix: Hold CTRL (Windows) or COMMAND (Mac) while selecting lines in Netgain tables. This lets you select a row without needing to aim perfectly at the checkbox — and without launching the underlying transaction by mistake. This trick can be helpful on pages like the manual match page in NetCash and the accrual matching page in NetClose. |
