NetClose - Change Preferred Date Format
Overview
For AU and UK clients (or any region expecting DD/MM/YYYY), the Due Date fields in NetClose Suitelets render dates based on your browser language settings, not the NetSuite preference alone. To change your preferred date format, align both the NetSuite preference and the browser language.
Step-by-step process
1. Confirm the NetSuite date format preference
Navigate to Home > Set Preferences. Confirm Date Format is set to your desired format (e.g., dd/mm/yyyy for AU and UK clients).
2. Update the browser language
In Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge:
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the browser.
- Click Settings.
- On the left sidebar, click Languages.
- Under Preferred languages, click Add languages.
- Select a language that matches your desired date format - for example, English (United Kingdom) for DD/MM/YYYY.
- Click the three dots next to the newly added language and choose Move to the top (or Display Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge in this language).
- Restart the browser to apply the change.
Both settings must align
The NetSuite Date Format preference controls native NetSuite views. The browser language controls how the Due Date fields render inside NetClose Suitelets. Ensure that both settings align to your preferred date format.
