NetClose - Saving Filtered Views as NetSuite Shortcuts
Overview
Many pages in NetClose—such as the Task List/Board, Reconciliations pages, Create Amortization from Transaction, and Flux Analysis—include filters that help you focus on the work that matters most. Rather than reapplying the same filters every time you visit a page, you can save your filtered views as NetSuite shortcuts.
After selecting NetClose filters, the page URL automatically updates. By saving that URL as a shortcut, you can return to the same page with your preferred filters already applied. This approach works for any NetClose page that supports filters.

Add the Shortcuts Portlet to Your NetSuite Dashboard
If you do not already see the Shortcuts portlet on your NetSuite home page:
- Go to your NetSuite Home page.
- Click Personalize.
- Scroll to Shortcuts.
- Drag the Shortcuts portlet onto your dashboard.
Go to a NetClose Page and Set Your Filters
- Navigate to any NetClose page that supports filters. For example:
- Task List/Board
- Reconciliations
- Amortization Create from Transaction
- Review Flux Analysis
- Select the filters you want to save (for example, preparers/reviewers, statuses, accounts, transaction types, subsidiaries).
Important:
As you change filters, NetClose updates the URL to reflect those selections. However, the Period filters, including From Date and To Date are intentionally not stored in the URL. When you open the shortcut later, these dates will update automatically to the current period or the default period per your NetClose settings.
Copy the Filtered Page URL
- Once your filters are set, click into your browser’s address bar.
- Copy the full URL.
Create a New Shortcut
- On your NetSuite Home page, locate the Shortcuts portlet.
- Click New Shortcut.
Enter a Name that clearly describes the view (for example, Transactions – Multiple Accounts or My Flux to Prepare)
- Paste the copied URL into the URL field.
- (Optional) Check Open in New Window if you want the shortcut to open in a new browser tab.
- Click Save.
- Refresh the home page to see the new shortcut.
Use Your Saved Filtered View
- Click the ⭐ (star) icon or select the shortcut from the Shortcuts portlet.
- The NetClose page opens with your saved filters pre-selected.
You can click your shortcut from anywhere in NetSuite and immediately return to your personalized NetClose view.
(Optional) Create Multiple Shortcuts for the Same Page
You are not limited to one shortcut per page:
- Create one shortcut for Flux Analysis to Prepare
- Another for Flux Analysis to Review
- Another filtered by a specific subsidiary or status
Each shortcut saves a different filtered view, making it easy to switch between workflows.
