This page documents the steps to install or update the SuperSync Files bundle.

Step 2 - Setup the "Connection" record

a - Navigate to SuperSync Files > Configs > and select Connections

b - Select New SSF | Connection or select edit on an existing connection

c - Give this connection a meaningful name.

d - Navigate to the Document Connector field and select Microsoft Sharepoint from the dropdown

g - Enter the SharePoint site configurations. These can be entered directly or the system will automatically populate them by copying the full URL to the SharePoint base path and pasting it into the field labeled Sharepoint Paste Full Base URL Here.

The SharePoint Document Library field should be left blank if the standard "Shared Documents" or "Documents" folder is being used on the SharePoint site - this is usually the case.

Note that there are separate settings for production and sandbox.

h - Select Save.

Step 3 - Grant Admin Consent

As a one-time step the SuperSync Files Application needs to be granted access to the Microsoft Tenant. This will only need to be done once even if additional site connections are setup in the future. Note that if this step was done prior to October 2025 it will need to be completed with the new SuperSync Files registered Microsoft Application.

a - Select Grant Admin Consent from the connection record in NetSuite.

b - If you are a Microsoft Administrator, directly follow the link from here. Otherwise copy the URL and forward it to an Admin to authorize SuperSync Files.

Step 4 - Create Service User

SuperSync Files requires the creation of a dedicated service user account. This user will require a limited licenses for Microsoft and will be granted access to the SharePoint sites which are to be accessed via NetSuite. This user becomes the control point from a security perspective to manage access.

Setup this user in Microsoft Entra ID (Active Directory). We recommend using a name like "SuperSync Files" or "NetSuite File Sync" as this username will show up in SharePoint as the "created by" and "modified by" user when documents are added via NetSuite.

Step 5 - Assign Site Access

Grant the service account access to SharePoint on the SharePoint site.

a - Navigate to the SharePoint site directly or via the button on the top of the connection record.

b - In the top right of the screen select the link to add the service account as a new group member.

Step 6 - Connect Service User

The final step is to authorize the service user setup in step 4 to connect via the SuperSync Files app and interact with SharePoint. This can be done by anyone logged into NetSuite as long as they have the username and password for the newly setup service account.

a - From NetSuite, select Connect Service User on the Connection record.

b - Select OK

c - Login using the dedicated user account.

Note: If you are not the Microsoft admin and Step 3 was not completed, Microsoft admins may receive the following email to provide admin consent:

d - A message will display confirming that authentication was completed successfully

Setups Summary

Once all of the above steps have been completed, SuperSync files should be ready to use with the out-of-the-box settings in NetSuite. Further configuration can be done to setup specific record types and customize file paths. Please consult documentation for the configuration steps.
