NetAsset - Netgain Add-on Bundles

Overview

Netgain has developed additional add-on bundles designed to support customers with enhanced or supplemental asset management needs. 

Netgain | Insurance and Claims Configuration

Insurance and claims activity can be tracked and linked directly to asset records, with all related details maintained as child records of the associated asset. Once entered, insurance and claims data becomes available for reporting and tracking purposes.   

Step-by-Step Process:

  • Contact Netgain to get the bundle provisioned to the target account.
  • Refer to the NetAsset Bundle Installation article and install bundle ID 297750. 
  • Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types. 
  • In the list of record types, click the link for NetClaim. 
  • On the Fields subtab, click the New Field button to add a new field to the record using the following configuration: 
    • Label: Asset
    • ID: _ngic_claim_asset
    • Type: List/Record
    • List/Record: NetAsset Asset
    • Record Is Parent: ✓ 
    • Parent Subtab: Insurance
  • Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types. 
  • In the list of record types, click the link for NetInsurance.
  • On the Fields subtab, click the New Field button to add a new field to the record using the following configuration: 
    • Label: Asset
    • ID: _ngic_insur_asset
    • Type: List/Record
    • List/Record: NetAsset Asset
    • Record Is Parent: ✓ 
    • Parent Subtab: Insurance

Netgain | Maintenance Configuration

Maintenance activities and records can be tracked and linked directly to asset records. These details are stored as child records of the asset and are designed to support both preventive and corrective maintenance efforts. Once entered, maintenance data becomes available for reporting and tracking purposes.  

Step-by-Step Process:

  • Contact Netgain to get the bundle provisioned to the target account.
  • Refer to the NetAsset Bundle Installation article and install bundle ID 297747.
  • Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types. 
  • In the list of record types, click the link for NG Maintenance.
  • On the Fields subtab, click the New Field button to add a new field to the record using the following configuration: 
    • Label: Asset
    • ID: _ngmnt_maint_asset
    • Type: List/Record
    • List/Record: NetAsset Asset
    • Record Is Parent: ✓ 
    • Parent Subtab: Maintenance

Netgain | Units Configuration

NetAsset supports the capture and tracking of underlying units in cases where a single asset record represents multiple units. This bundle introduces a dedicated Unit record, allowing users to store detailed unit-specific information as needed. Each unit is created as a child record of the associated asset, and all related data is available for reporting and tracking. 

Step-by-Step Process: 

  • Contact Netgain to get the bundle provisioned to the target account.
  • Refer to the NetAsset Bundle Installation article and install bundle ID 297752.
  • Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types. 
  • In the list of record types, click the link for Net Unit.
  • On the Fields subtab, click the New Field button to add a new field to the record using the following configuration: 
    • Label: Asset
    • ID: _ngun_unit_asset
    • Type: List/Record
    • List/Record: NetAsset Asset
    • Record Is Parent: ✓ 
    • Parent Subtab: Related Records
