NetClose - Standard Task Email Notifications

Overview

Each task in NetClose includes default email notification settings that determine whether users receive email updates when specific task-related changes occur. By default, these settings are unchecked, meaning notifications will be sent unless disabled. This article outlines the purpose of each setting, provides steps to manage them, and includes guidance on custom notifications and email troubleshooting.

Default Email Notification Settings

To access and modify these settings: 

  1. Navigate to NetClose > Lists > Tasks
  2. Open the applicable task template
  3. Click Edit to enable changes to the record
  4. Scroll to the bottom and select the Notifications subtab
  5. Review and update the following options:

Ignore Assignee ChangeSuppresses email notifications when the task’s assignee is changed.
Ignore Notify Reviewer Upon Submission for ReviewSuppresses notifications to reviewers when a task is submitted for review.
Ignore Notify Assignee Upon "Send Back for Edits"Suppresses notifications to assignees when a task is returned for edits.
Ignore Notify Assignee Upon Completion of Dependent TaskSuppresses notifications to assignees when dependent tasks are completed.
Ignore Due Date ReminderSuppresses email notifications that remind users of the upcoming task due date.
Days Before Due DateSpecifies how many days before a task’s due date an email reminder should be sent. By default, the system sends a reminder one day before the due date.

Custom Task Email Notifications

NetClose allows configuration of additional custom email notifications to support more tailored workflows. Refer to the Custom Task Email Notifications article for setup instructions.

Email Troubleshooting

If notifications are enabled on the task but emails are not being received:

  1. Navigate to NetClose > Setup > System Setup
  2. Under the General subtab, confirm that Enable Task Email Notifications on Trigger is selected
