NetClose - Locking Transactions for Custom Segments

Overview

With NetClose Close Control, users can lock transactions from posting to custom segments. To lock transactions for a custom segment, users must add a new field to the NetClose Close Control record and create a NetClose Custom Sourcing record using the Close Control Sourcing Type. The walkthrough below demonstrates this easy process.

Step by Step

1. In the Global Search bar type: "NetClose Close Control" and select: Page: NetClose Close Control View full size
2. Select Edit next to any NetClose Close Control Record View full size
3. Select Customize > Customize Form View full size
4. On the"Fields" subtab, click New Field View full size
5. Enter the name of the custom segment in the "Label" field and update the ID as desired View full size
6. Select Type of "Multiple Select" and List/Record of the custom segment
7. Check the "Show in List" checkbox View full size
8. Select Save
9. With the field created, the next step is to create the NetClose Sourcing Record. To do this, navigate to NetClose > Setup > Sourcing > New
10. Name the Sourcing as desired and select the Sourcing Type of NetClose Close Control View full size
11. Select the custom segment in the Close Control Source List and the newly created field in the Close Control to Field View full size
12. Select Save
13. The custom segment will now appear on the Close Control Lock Transaction Page. To confirm its appearance, navigate to NetClose > Close Management > Lock Transactions & Account Segments. The custom segment will now appear as a locking option.  View full size
