NetLease - AI Sidebar Lease Creation
The AI Sidebar in NetLease helps create leases quickly from contracts and excels. In order to use this feature, make sure you have already gone through the steps to enable AI usage in your account via the AI Sidebar Setup.
Step by Step
AI Lease creation supports upload of Word, PDF, CSV, Excel, and text file formats. Specifically: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .txt, and .md.
Note that Macro Enabled excels and images (.png/.jpg) are not currently accepted.
To start, open the AI Sidebar on a new lease record in Edit mode.
You can choose to just start interacting directly via the chat box at the bottom of the sidebar or you can click one of the bubbles at the top to give the sidebar more explicit directions. We suggest using the bubbles for the most accurate results.
Drag and drop your file into the sidebar. Once attached, you will see the file in the chatbox. Enter your prompt and click the orange Submit button.
Save to NetSuite
Optionally, you can check the box for Save to NetSuite to attach the file to the lease via the native NetSuite File Cabinet. The file will be visible through the Documents subtab.
The AI sidebar will start responding to you and you can go back and forth with it as a normal AI chatbot to get to the correct lease details.
Once the lease details look correct to you in the sidebar, it will show you a table with all the lease fields and the suggested inputs based off the information pulled from the lease record. Click Confirm to have those field populated on the lease record live.
The populated fields will either show as Blue for fields the AI is confident on or Yellow for fields that should be reviewed manually. You can edit any and all fields manually as needed. You can also continue to chat with the AI agent to have it review/change/explain fields as needed.
Once everything looks good, click Save.
Payment Schedule
While the AI bot can see and tell you that there is a payment schedule (increasing/decreasing/rent abatement payments) associated to the lease, as of the 7/2026 release the payment schedule cannot be filled out by the AI agent. We are activley working to fix this.
