NetLease - AI Sidebar Errors
The NetLease AI Sidebar utilizes third party LLMs for AI responses and comprehension. This means Netgain has no control over the specific responses received through the AI Sidebar. We are always striving to use thoroughly tested and recent AI models to ensure you get the more accurate results.
That being said, Netgain cannot fix "errors" in responses from the AI Sidebar. There are some common errors that people run into from the software side though and this article is to help address solutions when there is a software error with the sidebar.
Server Error - invalid_request_error
This error occurs in the sidebar itself and prevents you from getting complete answers.
This error is a Claude error due to the context of the conversation being too long. It happens when you are chatting back and forth with the sidebar for so long that the memory for the whole conversation gets too large, or when too large of a file is uploaded for Claude to read.
Fix it by refreshing the page and restarting the chat. The AI sidebar does not keep conversation context between pages and refreshes, so this will create a new conversation with Claude and reset the token count for the conversation.
If your lease PDF is too long, try shortening it and removing unnecessary legalese from the end of the contract. If you do this, make sure you dont save the wrong PDF document to NetSuite.
MCP Authorization Failure
This error occurs when trying to enable MCP tools in the sidebar. It prevents you from being able to use MCP tools.
The error is most likely caused because the integration record used for the MCP Claude connection is inactive or not approved. You must be an Administrator or have access to the integration records to debug this error.
Navigate to Setup > Integration > Manage Integrations. Look for the Netgain MCP Connector (Test Server).
You can see in this account, the Integration record is in the Waiting for Approval state. It needs to be Enabled for the Lease AI Sidebar to use MCP tools. Click Edit next to the integration record and then update the status and Save.
Navigate back to the lease record and try enabling the MCP tools again. They should work once this record is enabled. Reach out to support if this doesn't resolve the error.
