NetAsset - License Usage Info

Overview

The NetAsset Usage Statistics feature displays the number of assets currently in an account compared to the maximum number allowed under the license. This information is available within NetAsset > NetAsset Setup > System Setup on the Licensing tab and provides visibility into license limits to help determine when additional asset capacity is needed.

Key Assumptions

  • User has access to NetAsset > NetAsset Setup > System Setup.
  • NetAsset license is active and correctly synced with the latest data from Netgain.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Navigate to System Setup

Navigate to NetAsset > NetAsset Setup > System Setup.

2. Open the Licensing Tab

Click on the Licensing tab within the System Setup page.

3. View Usage Information

In the Usage Info section, the following information is displayed:

  • Tier Max – Maximum number of assets allowed under the current license
  • Assets Towards Tier Max – Number of assets that currently count towards the tier max

4. Understand What Counts Towards the Tier Max

The asset count includes assets with the following statuses:

  • Pending
  • Ready to Capitalize
  • Ready to Expense
  • Capitalized
  • In-Service
  • On-Hold
  • Fully Depreciated

The asset count excludes assets with the following statuses:

  • Disposed
  • Expensed
  • Merged
  • Split

5. Sync License Data

License data syncs automatically overnight. If the numbers appear incorrect or outdated, click Sync License to refresh with the latest data from Netgain.

Considerations

  • License usage statistics apply only to production accounts.
  • License sync failures may cause outdated counts. Use the Sync License button to update immediately.
  • Exceeding the tier max requires a license upgrade through the account manager.

Troubleshooting

Usage numbers appear incorrect

  • Click Sync License to refresh data.
  • Verify asset statuses to confirm the count aligns with included/excluded categories.

Additional assets needed

  • Contact the account manager to request an increase to the license tier.
