NetAsset - License Usage Info
Overview
The NetAsset Usage Statistics feature allows you to view the number of assets currently in your account compared to the maximum number allowed under your license. This information is available directly within NetAsset >NetAsset Setup > System Setup, under the Licensing tab. It provides transparency into your license limits and helps you know when you will need to purchase an additional band of assets.
Key Assumptions
You have access to NetAsset >NetAsset Setup > System Setup.
Your NetAsset license is active and correctly synced with the latest data from Netgain.
Step-by-Step Process
Navigate to System Setup
Go to:NetAsset >NetAsset Setup > System Setup
Open the Licensing Tab
Click on the Licensing tab within the System Setup page.
View Usage Information
In the Usage Info section, you will see:Tier Max – The maximum number of assets allowed under your current license.
Assets Towards Tier Max – The number of assets that currently count towards your tier max.
Understand What Counts Towards the Tier Max
Included: Pending, Ready to Capitalize, Ready to Expense, Capitalized, In-Service, On-Hold, and Fully Depreciated Assets.
Excluded: Disposed, Expensed, Merged, and Split Assets.
Note on Demo/Sandbox Accounts
Demo and sandbox accounts do not have a tier limit and can hold an unlimited number of assets for testing purposes.
Sync License Data (If Needed)
Normally, license data syncs automatically overnight.
If the numbers appear incorrect or outdated, click Sync License to refresh with the latest data from Netgain.
Limitations / Things to Be Aware Of
License usage statistics apply only to production accounts.
License sync failures may cause outdated counts — use the Sync License button to update immediately.
Exceeding the tier max will require an upgrade through your account manager.
Troubleshooting
Usage numbers look incorrect
Click Sync License to refresh data.
Confirm the asset statuses of your records — ensure the count aligns with included/excluded categories.

Contact your account manager to request an increase to your license tier.
